Enjoyable not too grisly detective story.
Thought narrator could be a little more expressive. Got a little bored with her voice but very clear and easy to understand
Enjoying series of mysteries.

Good easy listening; with enough intrigue to keep you listening

The author has yet again managed to keep me guessing. Love her books.Looking forward to the next book

Bought this ahead of my trip to Glastonbury hoping it would feature some local sights etc but didn’t really. The storyline was ok, nothing wrong with the narrator - in fact I loved her voice, but with so much being speech, I felt she was badly matched to the main character having quite a mature voice when ‘Libby’ seemed a lot longer. Sadly this put me off and I gave up half way through as it didn’t hold my interest

Wrong narrator for the story

I have read, rather than listened to, other books in this series, and have enjoyed them, but I found the plot of this one rather disjointed. It was not helped by the narrator’s incredibly monotonous rendition, making it hard to distinguish the different characters. I would listen to other books by this author, but never with this narrator.

Not up to usual standard

It sounded like the narrator was putting on a northern accent, certainly not a Somerset accent (I’m from Glastonbury) which ruined it for me. Didn’t get past a few chapters. Story sounds promising though.

Why was the accent sounding northern when it’s based in Somerset

The narration was slightly better than the first book. As this is a free book to listen to, I am fairly happy with it. However, I would not have wanted to use a credit to purchase.

An okay read
