About this listen

The My Best Friend is an Eldritch Horror Complete Series Bundle is 6 Full Books of Magic Academy LitRPG adventure about a young man who accidentally summons a mysterious monster during his studies of magic.

Damien nearly ended the world. Now, his mistake might be the only thing that can save it.

Good things come to those who wait. Damien Vale didn’t, and he ended up bound to an Eldritch creature from beyond the reaches of space. It has lived since the dawn of time, seen the world born and destroyed countless times, and wants to be called Henry.

Unusual companion or not, Damien was still determined to go to a mage college and study magic. He wants nothing more than to live normal life as a researcher, but if Henry’s true nature is revealed, he’ll be killed.

To top it all off, Damien’s teacher is a madman from the front lines of war, his alcoholic dean suspects something is awry with his companion, and Blackmist might possibly be the worst school in history. Damien has to prevent the end of the world, but he isn’t even sure he’s going to make it through Year One at Blackmist.

Now one of my favourites, not only for the value for money being 1 credit for so much content, but I really enjoyed the story, the characters, the banter between the MC and his companion and friends.

If you have a spare credit, you can't go wrong.

Action packed, great story and laughs.

The book is very well written, Has interesting if not that complex charakters and a lot of fun battles where moves and tactics matter more then generic "i have more power". the story contains interesting cosmology and diverse plots. really the only issue i have with it is a rushed ending that really could have used some more time to properly resolve everything.

This book is Perfect for those who like the magic academy setting, but don't like actual classroom lessons part of it

I listened to the whole series almost continuously and never lost interest. I highly recommend it.

Simply put well written, well read and has a good ending this bundle is well recommended.

Good

There were some (three over six books) inconsistencies that I found distracting—some of the facts changed (and sometimes changed back) or seemed to have been introduced off-screen. The characters and the concept itself was great fun and it was fairly light, story-wise, whereas some extra effort into bringing the world, lore and plot together would have (imo) been appreciated. Well, well worth a credit, though, and I would recommend

Loved it but

for the cost of a single credit this is well worth the few shortcomings it has. My biggest gripe was the change of school year without actually changing years then back again in a later book. i wont lie this was very jarring but was the biggest of my issues so not too bad if you can put up with the hand full of times its mentioned.

now past the bad part i have to say i was kind of shocked, its a simple story and seems a little rushed towards the end but this in no way took away from the fun and despite its length was a pleasure to listen to from start to end.

Highly reccomended to any looking for a long adventure that can be listened to in any situation.

Great but not perfect!!!
