About this listen
A small-town fake-relationship romantic comedy.
Josh Landry is one of the hottest bartenders in New Orleans. He’s shown many a female tourist that things are definitely big and easy down here. And he’s now been celibate for a year. Because he finally met her.
Yes, her. The One.
But after nothing more than a hot good-night kiss and a promise to meet up again next year if they’re both still interested, she went home to Iowa.
It’s been a long year.
But now it's Mardi Gras again, and he's ready for his happily ever after. If she shows up. Oh, she shows up. For her best friend’s wedding. But Tori is a terrible bridesmaid because all she can think about is her knight-in-shining-Mardi-Gras-beads from last year. Well, and because she accidentally lays a hot kiss on her BFF. A.k.a. the groom.
Unfortunately, no one believes that it was a case of mistaken identity. So now she has to convince everyone she has no intention of ruining the wedding. She's going to need a crazy-about-her boyfriend ASAP. Even if he’s just faking it.
Well there's only one other person she knows in Louisiana...Josh is all in. In fact, he's thrilled. And he's not faking anything. But the groom isn't faking his sudden case of cold feet either.
And now Tori might have a choice to make.

nice idea, but not very realistic
i would like to be in a world where a cute bartender falls in love with a tourist he kisses the 1st time they meet and waits for her for 1 year without having sex wih anybody else. i mean, it would be amazing, but it could be easily classified as science fiction because this doesn't happen in real life. other han that, i loved the characters, the story is well written. the steamy scenes are also good. the narrators are good, in particular Neill, who i believe was absolutely the perfect choice. i am not particularly fond of Amanda's style, but she is a brilliant narrator nevertheless. i received a free copy of this audiobook and i am voluntarily leaving a review

Really Hilarious and Heart-Warming
I really enjoyed this book much more than I thought I would. It was very sweet and wholesome. There was a part that I really feel was left a little too open-ended for my liking. I'm hoping that since it's a series (granted a standalone series) that there will be a tie-up later on in the series. We shall see.

Boys of the Bayou Book One
Boys of the Bayou Book One.
Victoria 'Tori' Kramer and Josh Landry made a pact a year ago in New Orleans after a hot kiss left them both breathless. One year later, they were to meet at the same bar where they first met, if they were both still single and interested. When a case of mistaken identity leads to Tori's need for a date, she tracks down Josh and convinces him to be her plus one. Over the course of the next few days, Tori and Josh get to hang out and she begins to feel like she is home for the first time in her life. However, Andrew, the groom and her best friend, is beginning to see what he missed back home in Iowa.

So, so enjoyable, great story, ace narration
I really enjoyed this story. It's gentle and light with some steam thrown in. It made me chuckle in several places and I was a little sad when it ended as I wanted to spend more time with the characters. Neill Thorne and Amanda Stribling did a brilliant job with the narration, in fact they were so good I kind of ignored them, and yes I'm aware how odd that sounds! So very enjoyable.

Swoony and romantic
I really loved this book. Set in Louisiana (as expected due to the title), Erin Nicholas really made this world come alive (I really want to go to New Orleans now!). Josh is so sweet and he is paired well with Tori, who is an awkward but adorable animal lover (she's a vet). They met a year before the story really began and made a plan that if they were still interested in each other, they would meet at the bar. A year ago, they met (a day late) but Tori now needed a date to her best friend's wedding. I loved their interactions and how protective Josh is. I love Tori, who is sweet and may not say the right thing all the time but her heart is so beautiful. I really adored Tori and I wish that we could be friends. (always a sign of a great author/story.) Erin Nicholas set up a great foil with Andrew, the best friend, and Paisley, Andrew's fiance. I really felt like slapping them throughout the book!
Regardless, this is a sweet romantic book and the couple are one of my favorites. I look forward to reading more of the books in this series.
The narration for the audiobook is on point. It was totally perfect. Amanda Stribling has the sweetest voice that fits beautifully with Tori. She also did a great job with the male voices so I'm impressed at her range. Neill Thorne was also perfect. I loved his voice, accent and his ability to modulate his voice perfectly. This was such a fun read and listen and I'll be relistening in the future!

Good Listen
Josh and Tori met a year ago and a year later made plans to meet up but then everything goes when Tori kisses the groom of the wedding she is in New Orleans for. Now she needs Josh to act as her date and with his crazy family, a groom that does not know what he wants and all the hotness Tori can handle. This story has it all and then more.
Good Narration

beautiful 2nd chance
a great story of finding your Bayou boy. Tori and Josh have a great chemistry the first time they meet. But she is an Iowa girl and didn't want her heart broke if it didn't work long distance. they agree to meet in one year. she comes to find Josh while attending her best friends wedding.
a misplaced kiss on her BFF leads to disaster.
she looks to Josh help her out.
Amanda Stribling is one of favorite narrators. she nails the characters. Neill Thorne is new to me. He has a great voice. He did nailed Josh.

My Best Friend's Mardi Gras Wedding
This was a really easy listen. Erin Nicholas is a new author to me. This book had everything I expected from a southern romance with dash of crazy bayou shenanigans. Amanda and Neill did an amazing job narrating with the southern Louisiana accent.
