About this listen
There’s nothing quite like a Christmas love story to get you in the mood for celebrating....
Cara doesn’t do sexy, and she only does ‘Happy Christmas’ under duress. She is, after all, a serious musician, and her stubborn streak is born from her struggle to recover from a serious injury.
Javi lives for escapist fun - in his music and in his life - especially since he’s always failed at life’s more serious challenges, including marriage and fatherhood.
Javi and Cara are forced to record a Christmas single together, but neither of them have plans to spend any more time with each other than they absolutely have to. With Christmas traditions that couldn’t be more different and outlooks on life that are worlds apart, the chemistry just shouldn’t work. But the magic of Christmas can bring even opposites together....
From the snowy beauty of London at Christmas, to the candlelit magic of Javi’s traditional family celebrations, let Leonie Mack whisk you away on a memorable festive adventure. Perfect for fans of Trisha Ashley, Mandy Baggot and Holly Martin.

The Latin music Christmas
Loved this book. The Latin music throughout. If there had been a musical background behind that would have made it a 10/10 for me.

It was ok
I used a credit based on the reviews, but I didn’t have the same feelings as others. It was ok, but just felt a little meh to me

Loved everything about this book
Just like the cheesy love song in it this story was full of heartwarming nostalgia. Loved seeing the characters getting to know each other, perfect balance of Christmas cheer and depth.

charming and heartwarming
I’m enjoying this book so much, still got about 1hr left and really don’t want it to end. Such a lovely heartwarming story of two people from two different worlds brought together by a song. You almost hear the haunting music they make together and you feel the affection that starts to develop between them. Great narration.

Fresh story, great characters
Gorgeous Christmas love story, brought to life with immersive narration. Loved the chemistry between 2 very different characters and the contrast between the cosy London Christmas and the loud Colombian traditions.

Christmas Culture 3 Stars ⭐⭐⭐
I bought this listen because I love Chicklit and I love Christmas. I haven't got on with previous Leonie Mack listens but this book was good as it had depth.
Cara and Javi were an unlikely pairing and only had music in common but they proved that opposites attract, it was more than a love story as we learn about each character and their culture.
I liked how the Latino lyrics unravelled to tell a story of Javi's life and the back story of Cara was also interesting as it explains why she is the person she is now.
I love Christmas 🎅listens that are happy and funny. I probably wouldn't listen to it again but I am glad I did hear it!
Gloria Sanders is a great narrator and she reminds me so much of Gabrielle Glaister they deserve jobs as narrator.
I bought this on a 2 for 1 credit deal and being HONEST I would not of been happy if I spent a whole credit on this book!
