About this listen

Five heart-stopping books with football heroes, swoony rock stars, and tortured artists who might just work their way into your soul.

It all started with kids at a lake. And when loss hit, they all had to learn to live again....

To find joy....

To find redemption....

To find love....

My Life as a Country Album - a boy-next-door, coming-of-age romance. Tomboy Cam's diary-style coming-of-age story about growing up loving the football god next door. She vowed to love him forever. But when fate comes calling, will she ever find a heart to call home? Warning: Tears may fall.

My Life as a Pop Album - a road-trip, rock-star romance. Bookworm Mia is trying to put behind years of guilt when soulful musician, Derek Waters, strolls into her life and turns it upside down. Once he's seen her, Derek can't walk away unless Mia comes with him. But what will happen when their short time together comes to an end?

My Life as a Rock Album - a second-chance, antihero romance. Recovering addict, Seth Carmen, is a trash artist who knows he's better off alone. But when he finds and loses the love of his life, he can't help sending her a series of love letters to try and win her back. Will Seth prove to PJ they can make broken beautiful?

My Life as a Mixtape - a single-dad, rock-star romance. Lonnie's always seen relationships as a burden instead of a gift and having to pick up the pieces his sister leaves behind is just one of the reasons. When Wynn enters his life just as her world is disintegrating, their mixed-up pasts give way to new beginnings neither of them saw coming.

This Life with Cam - a boxset exclusive novella. Written as a response to Cam's story in Country Album, Blake shares what it was like growing up in the shadow of Cam's first love. Discover the exact moment he fell for the tiny football referee with her lopsided braids and popsicle-stained lips.

This award-winning series from LJ Evans should come with a warning label: Do not listen unless you are prepared to invest your heart and soul. It's about finding yourself and your path on this wild ride called life while overcoming loss, heartbreaks, and illness. It's about family and hope and love. Each book can be listened to as a stand-alone novel but comes with spoilers for the first book in the series.

Great Box Set!

From the moment they meet the connection between them is deep, but neither is prepared for the depth of their feelings and the damage from their pasts.

My Life As A Mix Tape - Wynn has returned home after the end of her marriage while Lonnie is the bass player who is there when she needs someone the most. When life as Lonnie knows it abruptly changes it is Wynn’s turn to stand by him and they must decide if they are ready and willing to take the leap from friends to lovers.

It is great to have this series in one set. The narrators managed to bring out not only the emotion and angst of the story but the captivating characters as well. 🎧Audiobook Obsession

Best series !

one of the best series I've ever listened to , the books follow the life of 4 different 'kids' as they grow , life throws so many curveballs at them as they progress into adulthood but what follows this is an amazing heartfelt thought-provoking series , each chapter heading is a song title that just fits perfectly with each story , my life as a country album was my favourite of all the books and I really enjoyed the bonus story THIS LIFE WITH CAM which shows Blakes perspective growing up with Cam - from my life as a country album - each narrator played their parts to perfection and it felt like you grew up along side these characters rather than just hearing their stories .
If I could recommend one box set/series only this year then this would be that series .

A must get, amazing story and narration!

This set of the whole My Life as an Album series inspired by Taylor Swift songs is fantastic, I was able to get the audiobook narrated by Sarah Puckett, Michael Norman Johnson, and Neill Thorne, an over 40 hrs audiobook, it was fantastic, I really loved the characters and how each narrator gave each a voice. I definitely recommend getting the audiobook is such a great experience. The story is a small-town romance, with sport and friends to lovers. It was a story that hooked me, with a deep emotional side, beautifully written. Cam and Jake are characters you need to meet. So worth 5 stars!

My life as an Album

Okay this whole series was really good. The 1st book was very heart breaking. Man to find true love like that and to finally be with that person after so long just to lose it. Man it just broke my heart. But at the end I'm glad she found someone new well old at the same time. Anyways the rest of the books were great too. Mia story was a bit sad how she blamed herself for her brother's loss. Poor girl living with that guilt for so long. But glad she found someone to finally help her with it. Let's just say you guys need to read these book they are so good. I promise you will love them.

First of all...

... I already have this series separately.  But finding out the boxset has the bonus novella… Left me NEEDING the boxset!

Let me tell you... Get the tissues ready for the first book in the series. You will be broken but warmed in return.  From there you will follow each gorgeous character through their life and watch them grow and flourish.
For me, the cherry on the top is the bonus novella.  I know there is a lot of talk of “team Jake” or “team Blake” but listening to this story really left me knowing that things just happen for a reason and things turned out right in the end.  I really hope you all enjoy this beautiful journey as I did!

You will not be disappointed by the performance of this series!

Great Srories

I still remember when I started this journey with My Life as a Country Album, this book was pretty amazing and so I had to continue with the next ones.
All of this stories are fantastic, I love to be able to follow the playlist because it gives so much more to each story.
The characters are not perfect, they have flaws and, they struggle and they're able to overcome their obstacles and achieve their HEA.

The narration is nothing but perfec, all of the narrators bring the stories and characters to live with their incredible narrations.

Beautiful and Emotional Stories! Great Narration!

This series is full of amazing characters and beautiful but emotional stories, some a bit bumpier than others on the way to their happily ever after. I am so happy I found this author as these stories will be staying with me for a long time.

My Life as a Country Album

This book was full of ALL THE FEELS. The audiobook was very well done and I think really helped paint an even better picture of the story. The narrator, Sarah Puckett, did an amazing job with this story. Her voice was full of emotion and she had a great accent and her voice is just very easy and soothing to listen to.

My Life as a Country Album is a diary-like story about Cam and her life-long feelings for Jake, the boy next door and their relationship through the years, from when they were younger and into their twenties. There are some seriously sweet highs and so much love, but there are the lowest of lows, and tissues are an absolute must.

I really enjoyed the way the author told the story and I enjoyed listening to all of the changes of both main characters throughout the course of the story. This was my first book by the author, and I know that this book will definitely be staying with me for quite awhile.

My LIfe as a Pop Album

After coming off of all of the emotions from book one, I am not sure I could have loved another book in the series more, but I am not going to lie, I fell for Mia and Derek, and I fell hard.

My Life as a Pop Album has a little bit of an insta love vibe, which is definitely not usually my jam, but this story was so well done and these characters balance each other out so well that I couldn't help rooting for them from the start. Mia needed someone to help ease her sadness and guilt and just live and be happy and someone who would make her a priority and help her know she was important to them. Derek needed someone who would love and appreciate him for him. And I absolutely adored Jane and her role in the story!!!

This story was sweet, romantic and just everything. I loved that two people with two very different lives could find a middle ground and build a life that they both deserved and would absolutely love.

Sarah Puckett did a wonderful job as both Mia and Derek. She is so pleasant and soothing to listen to and her voice just brings out all of the emotions of the story.

My Life as a Rock Album

My goodness.....

I am not even really sure what to say as I write this review. My thoughts and emotions as I listened to this audiobook ran the full gamut. This story is intense. It is gut-wrenching and heartbreaking and so angsty.

Seth and PJ are complicated and messy, and their story is too. It is not a sunshine and roses romance story. Having said that, I appreciated how much Seth loves PJ and how protective he is of her. It wasn't always pretty and he didn't always do it in the right way, but his heart was in it and he was fully invested.

I think both people could have handled things a little better in the story at times so there was some frustration at various points, but I appreciated the fantastic writing by the author and the work the characters ultimately put in before they could have a relationship that was healthier than the one they were in before and one that would put them on the path to their happily ever after.

This wasn't my favorite story in the series, but the story evoked a ton of emotions which I think is a hallmark of a great author. The narrators, Sarah Puckett and Neil Thorne, did a great job bringing all of the emotions of this story to life.

My LIfe as a Mixtape

Oh my heart! An epic finish to the four book box set. My Life as a Mixtape is a swoony single dad romance involving Lonnie. Lonnie unexpectedly finds himself in charge of his niece and totally overwhelmed with all things parenting. Wynn, a nurse and overall good person, steps in to help Lonnie with his niece and with all things caregiving. They find themselves together more and more often as they work to make his niece happy and healthy, and their relationship strengthens until the chemistry and bond is too much to deny.

I adored how much Lonnie loved his niece and how hard he worked to make her life better even when it didn't come easy for him and even when it turned his life upside down. Parenting and the instinct to put a child first just came naturally to him, and that made him swoon-worthy and hot. His compassion and understanding for Wynn and all that she had been through made him equally amazing. I was rooting for them from the beginning.

I enjoyed the friendship aspect to this book and that it was not based on physical attraction. Wynn and Lonnie built so much more before they ever explored something physical, which made their relationship so much more powerful when they truly embraced it in my opinion. I did not want this story to end, but I absolutely loved the epilogue. These characters were everything! Sarah Puckett and Michael Norman Johnson completely rocked this one as Wynn and Lonnie!

The box set also includes bonus content you don't want to miss involving some more about how Blake and Cam's happily ever after came about. I am going to go find some more to read/listen to from this author! #TheFlock #PinkFlamingoProductions

Amazing!

My Life As A Country Album by LJ Evans is a novel inspired by Taylor Swift songs about love and loss and learning to live again. This is the first book in the My Life As An Album series that I listened to on audio narrated by Sarah Puckett. I absolutely love LJ’s books! She does an amazing job pulling you into a story. I was hooked from the very beginning. The book took me on an emotional roller coaster that had me in tears a few times. Sarah is an amazing narrator. She really knows how to bring a story to life. I felt every emotion that Cam was going through. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves contemporary romances or friends-to-lovers romance.

My Life As A Pop Album by LJ Evans is a novel inspired by Ed Sheeran love songs about forgiveness, love, and healing. This is book two in the My Life As An Album Series that I listened to on audio narrated by Sarah Puckett. I did not read book one and feel that you can read them as standalone books. This is the first book I have read by LJ Evans and it definitely won’t be my last. Sarah did an amazing job narrating. I loved the different voices she used for the characters. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a sweet romance.

My Life As A Rock Album by LJ Evans is a novel inspired by Bon Jovi songs that shows how love and acceptance can heal even the toughest scars. This is the third book in the My Life As An Album series that can be read as a standalone. I listened to the book on audio narrated by Sarah Puckett and Neill Thorne. This is the second book of LJ’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. She does an amazing job pulling you into the story. You can’t help but root for Seth and PJ. This story was absolutely amazing. Sarah and Neill did an amazing job on the narration. I could feel all the emotions that Seth and PJ were going through.

My Life As A Mixtape by LJ Evans is a novel inspired by Chris Janson’s “Drunk Girl” that I listened to on audio narrated by Sarah Puckett and Michael Norman Johnson. This is the fourth book in the My Life As An Album Series and can be read as standalone. I absolutely love LJ’s books! She does an amazing job pulling you into the storyline. Her books always take me on an emotional roller coaster that I never want to get off. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Lonnie and Wynn. I also had a copy of the eBook and loved the series epilogue at the end. It was a great way to wrap up the series. The epilogue had me in tears. I will definitely miss these characters! Sarah and Michael did an amazing job on the narration! They both really know how to bring a story to life. I can’t wait to listen to more of their work in the future. The entire series is absolutely amazing and is a must read! I think LJ say’s it best with her warning for the box set: “Do not listen unless you are prepared to invest your heart and soul. It's about finding yourself and your path in this crazy life while overcoming loss, heartbreaks, and illness.”

My Life With Cam by LJ Evans is a exclusive novella in the My Life As An Album series that is Blake’s side of the story from the book My Life As A Country Album. I listened to the book on audio narrated by Michael Norman Johnson. LJ did an amazing job on this novella! I loved getting Blake’s point of view of growing up in the shadow of Cam’s first love. I also enjoyed that it gave you a little more of Blake and Cam’s story down the road. Michael did a great job on the narration. I loved that he used different tones/voices for each character. It really brought the story to life. If you loved My Life As A Country Album I would highly recommend getting the box set so you can read this novella!
