About this listen

A gruesome display of corpses on the frozen Thames spells doom for Mycroft Holmes. Scotland Yard singles him out as the main suspect of a series of violent crimes because they're all connected by a single thread: Mycroft's name.

As public attention rises, he fights to avert any danger to his family and the Secret Service. To capture the culprit, Mycroft has to face an exceedingly uncomfortable truth about himself, which puts not only his career but his very life into question.

Intriguing and surprising

I sailed through this story within 3 days and enjoyed it quite a lot. It didn't have unneccessay lengthes and was never boring.
The narrator didn't impress me much but the story itself was wonderful; obviously written by an author who took her time to study Mycroft Holmes and pay attention to his character as well as idiosyncrasies. Aside from Mycroft Holmes himself, the other characters were well developed and I found one o two which I'd enjoy seeing again if the author wrote another story within that universe.
I would recommend reading or listening to Janina Woods' first book in the series "Mycroft Holmes and the Adventure of the Desert Wind" first but it isn't necessary to enjoy this story.
