Diamon, our MC, was a 17-year-old boy who died and was transported to another world where he found himself awakened in a new body, now living as a child of a vampire. He has kept his previous life a secret and followed this new path. Along the way his relationship with his mother becomes romantic. I am not sure if vampire lore indicates incest is a thing but regardless she is not aware of the circumstances of Diamon's rebirth. I have only completed the first 18 chapters so I am unsure how heavily the book leans into this. I think revealing his previous life might have removed, at the very least some of the taboo. Overall the story feels like it has good potential but in future needs more editing and narration improvements.

The narration overall is good. The voice is clear and easy to listen to. The bad part is the various characters' voices change regularly but since they sound largely similar overall it is not too distracting. There are many mispronunciations, for example, the characters named Titles are pronounced tit-les (think breasts if this is not clear). More proofing in future.

If I remember I will come back and add more once I have listened to more/all of the book.
