Summary

We know that hope is a powerful ally in challenging times - but can we consciously "practice" hope and learn to rely on it as a constant guide? In Navigating Hope, Caroline Myss helps us to turn life's difficulties into a voyage of transformation. With her trademark blend of down-to-earth practicality and inspired mysticism, she offers an "itinerary for the soul" to help us thrive of uncertainty and transition.

Ever hopeful

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

For anyone who has always wondered why life keeps throwing lemons at them in this book Ms Myss enables the reader/listener to learn how to make lemonade. It is clear that the author has experienced many challenges and detours during her own journey but has learned to view these negative experiences/events as learning opportunities for her soul's growth. This book is essential to those of us who are making our own spiritual journey; it offers advice, guidance and insights into areas of spiritual development that we would not have explored without Ms Myss' providing the direction we needed to travel in to increase our awareness.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked Ms Myss' delivery of the information - the listener felt included and respected by the teacher; she was humorous, truthful and not at all patronising. Ms Myss ensures that the audience is awake, alert and participating in the session and she does this with her wit and use of story telling which evokes images that triggers memories and responses from the past that the reader./listener had forgotten

Uninspiring

I'm a big fan of Caroline Myss, in particular her Sacred Contracts and Medical Intuition guidance which is incredibly inspiring and beneficial. But I'm sorry, I really struggled with this audio book. I've now attempted it twice and given up after about 50 minutes. Rather than being about hope, it seems to be Caroline on her soap box in an incredibly bad mood, and she is having a rant. Perhaps the second half of the audio is more upbeat and gets to the 'hope' part, but I'm not prepared to get to that part :-(
