Definitely not for dummies

This is a very thorough introduction to neuroscience but beware - it is very technical, and a physical copy of the book might be more useful.

Brilliant- so much to learn - mind blowing

Whilst this started off at a relative “for dummies” level it soon headed off at pace to deliver an astounding insight into how our brains interface to our bodies and how various feedback mechanisms link back

For a non-biologist this was a lot to take in - I’m looking forward to a second pass which I hope some of those100 billion neurons will be ready too

Red Dwarf toaster gets technical

Great content but shame it's narrated by the Red Dwarf toaster, can only listen for a short time for each listen as a result

Abysmal narration.

An interesting topic sabotaged by the worst narrator I’ve ever heard. What I can only describe as a parody of an incel wearing a fedora unenthusiastically being forced to read a script in a mocking tone. I genuinely couldn’t manage more than a couple of chapters.

Looking at Chris Sorenson’s other narrated books, the reviews are all saying similar things. How this man keeps getting work in this field is beyond me.
