About this listen
New Gods from the author Graham McQuade is the first in the Johnson trilogy.
An unimaginable discovery in a cave deep within the Rhône Alps starts a chain of events that has the heart of Europe paralyzed by a seemingly uncontrollable virus.
Margaret (Gwendolyn Johnson) and Jon (Wallis) are tasked with solving the mystery and embark on a horrific and breathtaking journey which takes them from Europe to Africa.
A story of friendship, but at its heart a story of courage and determination in the face of bigotry, power, and adversity.

A Wonderfully Over The Top Tale
The plot is worthy of being made into an action movie. It never lets up from the very beginning to a satisfying ending. The pace marries well with the urgency the characters face throughout the novel and certainly warrants the term "edge of your seat". Walt Allen's narration is on point, delivered with a cadence suited to each scenario described. Character voices are easy to differentiate and the audio is crisp and clear. All in all I'll be keeping a look out for book 2 when it's released on Audible 👍
