About this listen

Billionaire playboy.
Next-door neighbor.
And apparently…my new gynecologist.

I’m a widow. A single mom. And the new girl in a small town.

I’m also in the midst of the most important battle of my life—fighting my in-laws for custody of my son.

The circumstances that brought me to Calloway Creek come with perks. A new employer, a company house, and a gorgeous neighbor who is the perfect distraction from my heartache.
The problem with this distraction? The whole town has warned me away from Hudson McQuaid. But I don't see the side of him everyone else sees.

When flirtation turns into feelings, lines get crossed. And the consequences could derail my security, my job, and everything I’ve worked so hard for.

No Simple Lie is a standalone novel in the McQuaid Brothers series. It's a sexy neighbors-to-lovers romance about a filthy rich doctor, the new girl next door, and one meddling, conniving, billionaire grandfather.

There may be topics in this novel that would be upsetting or painful for some. For a full list of TWs see the author's website.

Thoroughly enjoyed!

This was my favourite book of the series and I absolutely loved the narrators chosen for this, both new to be, and I’ll certainly be listening to them again.

So we get the final McQuaid brother Hudson in No Simple Lie.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the McQuaid Brothers books and this one is a fantastic read.

This love story gave me the warm and fuzzy vibes, definitely a rags to riches Cinderella feel.

We’re all wondering what Tucker could possibly pull with Hudson! He’s already made his own way in life gaining his doctorate, and proved he doesn’t require his trust fund, so unlike his brothers that can’t be held over his head….but Tucker has other cards up his sleeve for his youngest grandson, one that will literally bring him to his knees.

This one had a very emotional start, you meet Dakota when she is going through one of the worst days of her life and she’s already had her count of those, Travis is about to be ripped away from her, possibly for ever.

My favourite of the series, narrators nailed it.

Hudson McQuaid, Doctor and the Hit It and Quit It King of Calloway Creek. He seems to have escaped the interference his brothers were forced to endure from their Grandfather.
Dakota has just had the worst day of her life and she has already had some awful times. When an elderly gentleman come to her aid and offers her a job and a home to go along with it, Dakota excepts, seeing it as the only solution to her problems.
The new home is right next door to Hudson and it soon becomes apparent that Pappy has indeed struck again. Unlike his brothers Hudson has been pulled into his Grandfathers scheme without even realising there was one.
This is a brilliant story, it will have you despairing for Dakota and actually feeling sorry for Hudson, who knew that was even possible. Almost a Cinderella story, it will hold you right to the end, and you won't want to switch off till your done.

Thee Mc Quaid brothers are something else
