About this listen

Escape with the next gripping thriller from Sunday Times bestseller Susan Lewis!

A triple murder.

A mother, her daughter and a family friend, are brutally killed at Kellon Manse one quiet summer’s day.

A young girl disappears and has not been seen since.

One suspect.

All fingers point to the husband of one of the victims. Yet he still walks free.

An unsolvable crime.

Cristy Ward has discovered the perfect next feature for her true crime podcast. Who really killed the three women at Kellon Manse?

And is there a chance the missing girl is still alive?

The fantastic narrator made it very easy to become emerged in the story. A story with twists & turns, whilst providing an engaging narrative on the characters, their motives and points of view. I enjoyed that no situation or character was black & white, and that the author took the time to convincingly illustrate the complexities that are held in each of us.

Wonderful performance

I listened to this book as I really loved the second book (but didn't realise it was the second until I started listening). The first half of the book I felt was a bit too long which made the ending rushed for me as I would have liked more exploration of that. There was a lot of emphasis on the relationship with Matthew. I suppose because I had just listened to book 2 I knew how everything was going to resolve which is why part 1 felt overly long for me. I suppose this is another reason to listen to books in order.

However given that I was really interested in learning about the podcast and the investigations and how they can do it all on such a short time lines.

Hopefully there will be book 3.

Great Plot!

Not a big fan. Way too many characters and way too long! Also a tad predictable

Too many characters

Too many characters made it really hard to follow
The narrator kept putting on annoying voices, only for them to sound completely different when the podcast clips of the same people talking aired immediately after. DNF.
