About this listen

Elemental witch Abigail Drake, third daughter in a magical bloodline, was born with a special affinity for water and the power to communicate with dolphins. Off the coast of Sea Haven, California, she has spent her entire life swimming among the sleek aquatic mammals, studying their fascinating ways. But then her idyll is shattered when she witnesses a gruesome murder along the shore, placing her own life in imminent danger. Now Abigail must seek refuge in the strong arms of Alexsandr Volstov, the Russian Interpol agent who broke her heart years before.

New York Times best-selling author Christine Feehan is "the reigning queen of paranormal romance" (Publishers Weekly). A mesmerizing blend of suspense and sensuality with a mystical twist, Oceans of Fire roars with waves of passion, enhanced by Alyssa Bresnahan's sultry narration.

I listened to this because it was offered for free ( I had not appreciated it was not the first in series but I don’t think that mattered )
So new author - new narrator

Narrator is good at the Russian accents and all other characters . She becomes “ invisible “ and to me that’s a sign of a g o o d narrator ( I will certainly look for more books with her as narrator )

The Author as I said is also new to me . The plot was alright and a nice twist with the dolphins .

I would be happy to buy more credits and listen to more of the Drake sisters but I world prefer to listen to them in order but they are not all on Audible UK site ( how often does this happen ??)
So that has put me off purchasing more

Girls rule!

The story and narrator are good enough that beyond the initial sex scene, the rest was gratuitous, repetitive and unnecessary. So 2-3 stars instead of 4.

Given the young adult audience this is pitched at, it’s not responsible to create unrealistic expectations that probably will cause unnecessary dissatisfaction and/or disappointment in real life.

Authors mold minds. Be responsible with that privilege.

Good listen. Irritating amount of sex
