About this listen
Fans of Maeve Binchy will love the number-one best seller Roisin Meaney and this heartwarming story of love, friendship and fate set on Roone, a small island off the west coast of Ireland....
Nell Mulcahy grew up on the island, so when the old stone cottage by the edge of the sea went up for sale, the decision to move back from Dublin was easy.
But when Nell decides to rent out her cottage for the summer to help raise money her forthcoming wedding to Tim, she's unprepared for what's about to happen....
As she welcomes holiday-makers to her cottage, Nell must face some truths: about her upcoming wedding to Tim and her friendship with his brother, James.
And, meanwhile, her father delivers some astounding news which leaves Nell, her mother and the island reeling.
But will Nell make it down the aisle?
One thing's for sure, it's a summer on the island that nobody will ever forget.

An easy listen.
The story is an easy, enjoyable listen with interesting characters.
As a listener you are transported to the lovely island off the west coat of Ireland.
The narrator's voice was soft and gentle which portrayed extremely well the story and atmosphere of life on the island. The small niggle was the fact that she ended some sentences on a " high " pitched note.
The author, when describing some event or conversation moved on to a totally different event or conversation without making any reference to the fact that she had moved on until much further into the description, when a person / subject was finally named. In the beginning I found this confusing, having to go back as I thought the audio had skipped or I had lost concentration. This was not helped by the narrator, who ran one sentence into an another despite the subject / conversation having moved on.
Overall a lovely story.

Wonderful Read
Wonderful characters and a lovely feel good story. Michele Moran is a brilliant narrator who brings the characters to life on the turn of each page. I cannot wait to get started on the second in the series.

Narration was awful! Story great.
The book and story were lovely and light hearted. Made me want to visit the island of Roon!
Nothing too heavy, just simple escapism.
The narration was all wrong, punctuation was ignored and generally made listening very difficult.
