About this listen
A forbidden age gap stand-alone from small-town romance author Brooke Montgomery about a girl who connects with a mysterious man and her sister’s older ex-boyfriend who knows he should stay away…
Looking back, I shouldn’t have sent a half-naked photo to the group chat. But when someone asks about a specific horse saddle, I caution them to be careful or their ass will look like mine—covered in bruises.
While everyone makes inappropriate jokes, a guy who recently joined shows concern about my well-being. Turns out, “bruising like a peach” isn’t normal. One innocent photo turns into more and soon we’re texting every day.
The only problem—I have no idea who he is or his age. Even so, I find myself smiling at his messages and wanting to know more about him. Until the time comes when we’re supposed to finally meet and he stands me up.
At the advice of my best friend, I sign up for a dating app because I’m not about to let one guy ruin it for me. But one after another, they either stop responding or block me.
After stumbling across my sister’s older ex-boyfriend on the same app, I ask him for advice. I beg him to teach me how to please a man and how to have more sexual confidence. When he reluctantly agrees, things evolve between us, lines get crossed, and I find myself falling for the wrong person.
Except, I can’t shake this uneasy feeling about the mystery guy from the group chat—the one who never showed up. But people don’t just vanish without a trace in a Southern small town.
Only with Me is book four in the Sugarland Creek series. Each book in this Southern, small town series is a stand-alone and ends in a happily ever after.

The responsible twin, always looking out for his brother Wilder (who lives up to his name), has put Waylon in a rut, until he starts having a secret conversation with a woman he’s never met from a group chat. When they finally agree to meet, and Waylan sees who it is he vows to end the inappropriate relationship.
Harlow wants to live life to the fullest and be there for her family, to help her dad who was hurt in a freak tractor accident. With her family going through so much in a short period of time, they have grown close, but that has also kept Harlow from finding friends of her own and dating.
When Waylon finds out Harlow is on a dating app, he signs up, just so he can keep talking to her. When Harlow asks him for “dating” tips, Waylon reluctantly agrees. When they develop feelings, they keep their relationship a secret until they can tell Harlow’s sister, but in a small town secrets don’t stay secret for long.
Great age gap, taboo romance

Waylon & Harlow are just such beautiful characters apart but once they come together they ignite something in each other which was truly beautiful to watch grow. I loved the way they started talking, the way their relationship developed, how they discovered each other through the spicy lessons that were how to say… so damn hot. Waylon has a filthy cowboy mouth and I was here for it. Harlow is entirely inexperienced with boys, which made her questions sometimes so funny, innocent and I just loved how Waylon showed her how and exactly what he wanted, it was 🥵🥵🥵.
In terms of suspense I think this one has to be my favorite. I loved the build up, the action, it just kept me so hooked. The way Montgomery built the plot, storyline and how it unfolded was just perfect. It definitely made me emotional a few times also. The mental health rep was spot on, very well done. This one is definitely a standout in the series for me!
🎧 The narration by Teddy Hamilton & Ava Erickson was stellar. Teddy was absolutely amazing, the way he played Waylon, the emotions, the spicy scenes, everything was on point. Ava was also really great, I loved how she truly brought Harlow's innocence and strength to life. This duo together is an absolute treat to listen to, I highly recommend it!

I went into this blind. Harlow and Waylons' story is so deep that they are having to deal with their own issues aswell as taking care of those around them.
I think my favourite part was all the texting aspects and meeting through 2 dating apps.
This was a SLOW burn, but their story was so deep it was needed as they had a lot to discover about each other, and Harlow was so innocent that she needed to have lessons that were pure fire.
I listened to the audiobook it's narrated in DUAL with Ava Erickson and Teddy Hamilton, who were so amazing!!!
Ava Erickson as Harlow was perfect as she had such an innocence to her voice, which is exactly who Harlow is. I really loved her as Harlow, and she definitely had me laughing while voicing Natalie.
Teddy Hamilton brought out a softer side to him voicing Waylon, which I loved because Waylon was much more softer where Wilder was more playful, which Teddy added when voicing him which had me giggling.
Thank you to Brooke for the ALC!!!

I have thoroughly enjoyed every book in this series, but this one is my favorite so far. Both Harlow and Waylon have significant traumas in their past and that has them bonding in different ways throughout the story. There are so many layers to this plot and never a dull moment. See the tropes above for some hints as I don’t want to give too much away, but this book is an emotional roller coaster and I enjoyed every second of the ride. Please heed the content warnings at the beginning of the book as there are many areas that cover sensitive subject matters related to mental health issues.
Both narrators did an amazing job with this dual style narration. The way they made it feel effortless differentiating between characters was impressive. Ava Erickson really gave Harlow’s character an air of naïveté and innocence. Teddy Hamilton blew me away with his ability to voice both Waylon and Wilder with such unique personalities.
I haven’t been this excited for the next book in a series in a long time. I need Wilder’s story ASAP!!!
Favorite of the series…so far!

Harlow and Waylon know each other through social interactions and the fact Waylon has dated Harlow’s sister. What starts as innocent messaging quickly becomes a lesson in how to date other people and gain experience with the opposite smex.
From the previous books, the impression I had of Waylon (and his twin, Wilder) is completely different to how he is in the book… for the better. Harlow is sweet and strong if a little too naive.
I would have liked to have read more about Harlow’s assault, the reason for it and for Wilder’s issues to have had more of an impact in Waylon’s relationship with Harlow. Although, I was not expecting the twist towards the end so colour me surprised.
Ava Erickson and Teddy Hamilton’s amazing voices always suit the characters they narrate. They are truly skilled voice actors.

About the narration:
Produced by Lyric Audiobooks and narrated by Teddy Hamiltion and Ava Erickson. I love anything Teddy narrates and he was SOO good as Waylon. Ava is also a super talented narrator. She did a great job at portraying Harlow’s innocence.
