About this listen

Two neighbors - strangers - with one thing in common: they share a fence. But is that the only thing they share? Nathan Fraser lives a solitary life, never letting anyone get too close. It's safer that way. Kourtney Whyte hides from the world and behind her work, too afraid to really live her life to the fullest. Rejection is what she knows best. But one night, the sound of her soft voice and the tantalizing aroma of her evening meal prove too enticing for Nathan to ignore. So begins their unconventional relationship - talking, learning, texting, and gradually opening up to one another, all over the fence. That is, until the day Nathan braves the high fence to protect Kourtney from her past, and changes everything forever. Can they move forward together, without the buffer of the fence? Or will their pasts prove to be too much of a barrier? Contains mature themes.

Didn’t really go anywhere. Disappointing slow and monotone. Several chapters just sex. Okay if that gets you going 😳

Disappointed

I enjoyed this book and liked the ending as it followed through years later but found I had to listen carefully to the end as no defined breaks as the months and years go by

An Absolutely beautiful story, from start to finish. I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the Epilogue 🥰

Over the Fence Review

Was funny to begin with but the interesting storylines were barely touched, and so much time was given to boring, unnecessary sex scenes. You know when you overhear a couple being soppy with each other and it makes you cringe? That's this book by the end of it. The epilogue is long but became more entertaining when I doubled the speed to get through it. Author is a capable writer, just too indulgently sentimental for my taste.

Such a cute and sweet story, but I really hated the sex scenes. It just didn’t belong in this book.

Sweet story

Great story. Inspired narration. Loved the texts as the Epilogue. Only drawback was some of the narrative was a bit sugary sweet for me. This was offset by the flirty ribbing and comedy. Looking for more of her books.

Great surprise

I thought he was a bit cocky, but likeable in the end. The narration was great. Thank you.

Loved the happy ending.

This story was a brilliant tale of two lonely people finding joy in each other.

Unusually for two sided narration, most of the story is told from the male point of view. Still loved it though.
