Summary
When the Bible said that the system of the world is characterized by "lust of the flesh" (1 John 2:16) it shows that the presence of pornography in the world will never decrease. From the very beginning of human history, sexual sins are not removed from the scenario of humanity's rise and fall. It always plays a major role in the lives of men and women, civilizations, and kingdoms, either for better or for worse. Thus, addiction to it is not uncommon, but seems to be a necessary normal pleasure built in within our self as humans, which we need to be released and expressed if we want to maximize it to our benefit.
Now, in the 20th century, the infectious rapid growth of pornography was globalized and is privatized by the rise of modern media inventions such as the Internet. If in the past the access to pornographic materials was difficult to get and was only available to adults or those who are married, but today, because of the Internet and other wireless gadgets invented to maximize it, the "access" to pornographic materials is one click away and is available to all regardless of their age and gender. Just try to look at the government statistics on pornography today and you'll see how it vigorously attracts, excites, and enchants the hearts and minds of many men and women today, young and old.
It is no wonder then why the level of addiction that this generation have with regards to pornography is tremendously weighty, strong, and penetrating. I can say that it's really difficult to live sexually pure today. The connections of sexual sins are close and its networks are global; they're everywhere. Thus, this question will naturally arise, "Is it still possible to live sexually pure today?" "I am already addicted to it; do you have ways or solutions to offer that will give me freedom from this?"
