A guide to effective project management
This book will guide you through each step of your project, clearly defining the underlying principles that should be applied to every project, regardless of what is going on inside or outside the project environment. They are sound, proven rules, which can be used as markers on the way to project success.
PRINCE2 is principle-based rather than prescriptive. The principles are:
- Universal in that they apply to every project
- Self-validating in that they have been proven in practice over many years
- Empowering because they give practitioners greater confidence and the ability to influence and shape how a project will be managed.
Want your project to be effective, successful and profitable? Buy this audiobook and get sound, proven rules for effective project management.

Helpful, but liberal use of pause required.
Narration a bit robotic but source material doesn't lend itself to much else. Quite a handy supplement for exam and reference. Example scenarios are very benificial.

Really Useful.
Good overview of PRINCE2
Methodology applied to real world cases
Narrator could be better - but the information is still clear.

Helped me pass my exam
This is a great resource for reminding yourself about the themes, processes, principles and so on that make up PRINCE2. I used it as part of my Foundation exam revision and it definitely came in useful, as it gives context and use-case examples that clarify all the terminology you need to memorise.
That said, this won't teach you PRINCE2, and you'll need lectures etc to get the most out of your learning and this book.

Cringy Performance for a ‘pass’ content.
The illustrations for the different chapters in the book were most of the time not appropriate, they didn’t seem to match what one is supposed to learn from that particular topic.
The narrator/performer is very passionate, if not too passionate? Her intonation sounds too childish for this subject matter. Feels like the author undertakes projects just like children playing games.

Good overall.
Unlike some other reviewers, I feel that the narrator was good, especially given the dry nature of the material. The book itsef is also well written, and the author clearly knows her stuff. My main issue is that there are no chapter headings, making it impossible to navigate around.

Useful refresher
I would recommend this audio book to existing users of Prince2 as a refresher. However new users would benefit from the paper copy in my opinion. The Prince2 handbook is still the best source though.
I did get distracted by the number of female PM’s names in the examples - I was worried the author might run out of names. Didn’t.

Good refresher
Easy to listen to and covers broad brush most of the concepts.
However, the reader occasionally seems to START SHOUTING FOR NO REASON.
Not sure was this was deliberate at the boring bits but rather off putting.

Great content
While hard to listen through (neither the author/narrators fault), I found the content to be exceptional. As an experienced project and programme manager I especially value the illustrations provided and will draw on them for my work

Excellent content, annoying narration
The book's approach to understanding PRINCE2 was well thought out and designed. I quite liked the practical examples used as they brought the points home.
The narrator, however, was terrible! It was obvious there was no understanding of the concepts and the punctuation pauses at commas were just as long as full stops. I was never sure if the sentence had ended or not. Annoying.
