Romy Nordlinger's ebullient, airy performance makes for a pleasant listen from start to finish, and her artful delivery seamlessly blends the seemingly disparate elements of mystery, romance, and urban fantasy in this startlingly original work.
SPOILERS: After sleeping with a witness completely inappropriately in the first book we are supposed to accept that sleeping with a colleague in the small team, while intensely flirting with the boss is simply accepted, in the second. In reality anyone who caused the fallout this would be bring, in a team already struggling for professional credibility, would be intensely disliked and seen as a threat to the teams stability and possibility its continued existence.
