About this listen
"Personal Finance for Teenagers" is an engaging and comprehensive guide designed to equip young adults with essential financial skills. Recognizing that 93% of parents acknowledge the importance of financial literacy for achieving life goals, yet many teens receive no formal education in this area, this book fills a critical gap in practical knowledge.
Written in a teen-friendly style, it transforms potentially dry financial concepts into an exciting adventure. The book covers a wide range of topics, from creative money-earning strategies and understanding compound interest to developing smart spending habits and resisting peer pressure.
It demystifies investing, introducing teens to stocks, bonds, and mutual funds without requiring any real financial risk.
Practical skills like budgeting, choosing appropriate bank accounts, and building a healthy credit score are explained in relatable terms. The guide also addresses modern financial challenges, teaching teens how to use credit cards responsibly and protect themselves from scams and theft.
Using interactive exercises, real-life scenarios, and accessible language, "Personal Finance for Teenagers" breaks down complex financial concepts into manageable, easy-to-understand pieces.
By providing this knowledge early, parents can ensure their teens are well-prepared for the financial realities of adulthood, setting them on a path to long-term financial success and independence.
Far more than just a book about numbers; it's a tool for empowering teens to take control of their financial futures.

Relevant and helpful
My son had difficulties with understanding different financial terms and how to get started in the adult world. He really liked the chapters about getting ready for the future like employment or big expenses. I would recommend this for teenagers getting out there after high school!

A Financial Education For Your Teenager
Kids don't always want to listen to parents about financial matters. Mr. Clardy’s” Personal Finance For Teenagers fills that gap. There is so much helpful content in this audiobook, and when a teenager listens to it, they learn how the world of money operates.
I found the basics of money Quiz to be something I will reflect upon as I drag my plastic out each time to purchase something frivolous. These little nibbles on a bank account add up to a significant $$$$ figure at the end of the year.
I also found the content on the Gig Economy and Freelancing particularly interesting and useful for teenagers or adults. There are thousands upon thousands of people these days who are freelancing and earning a good living doing it.
The Investing 101 chapter is something many kids never hear. A large portion of them go out into the world and make unsound investments that quickly collapse. The information they need to invest correctly is in this recording. Have your kids listen to it and learn how to invest properly without losing their shirt. Real-life financial information is not taught in school. Help your teenager to become financially literate by giving this audiobook as a gift.

Great Information that Every Teen Should Know
This book provides a solid foundation into the world of finances that all teens should begin to learn. It is so important in your early years to learn about finances and build good habits and this book does it in a easy to understand way. The unfortunate reality today is that a lot of adults have had to learn through costly mistakes that could have been avoided, and they are not prepared to teach their kids, so this would be an excellent introduction for them as well. I recommend this book to all teens as this is one of the most important things to learn in life it teaches you to set financial goals be prepared for the future with having a family and beyond when its time to retire.

This is an Impressive Book!
From the very first chapter and the history of money through buying a house, getting married and planning for retirement, this book covers it all. It has a very clear understanding of the concepts of budgeting and saving. I'm particularly fond of the final chapter on philanthropy and giving back through donations and community service. I strongly recommend this for any teens in your family, parents will love it too!
