Why is gratitude fundamental? If people could understand the importance of gratitude, we could live a much better, abundant, peaceful, and joyful life. It is easy to go hard on yourself for what you do not have and instead of appreciating what you do have. It is easy not to appreciate others for the phenomenal jobs they do, and be criticized and ignorant. But the bottom line is to realize the power of gratitude, to use it and improve your life as early as possible. One well-known Indian yogi, a mystic named Sadhguru, said, "Unfortunately, people of different ages have not learned fundamental principles of how to live an abundant, peaceful life."
Sadguru says, "If you are 12 years old, and do not know something, it is understandable. But when you are 50, 60, or 70 years old and still have not figured out how to control your feelings and emotions to live a peaceful and joyful life, it is a tragedy." And so, we have to switch on full awareness of the importance of gratitude, and then move in the direction to improve our life.
Listening to gratitude affirmations daily is the key. Keep reminding yourself, and be happy for what you already have and for the good people in your circle doing great things. You can start from very little, but it's massively important to be grateful for the life you have. You can breathe, you can eat, you can walk, you can talk, you can reproduce, etc. And that is not a small possibility. Many people have restricted possibilities.
