Probably one of the better AoS-books in my opinion. Lots of amazing set pieces, charismatic characters, beatiful friendships, loss and a bit of hope. Highly recommended.

I’ve read a lot of AOS fiction now and with a few exceptions this books stands out. The characters are deeper, the plot cleverer, the motivations more believable.
Also great insights into the workings of the mortal realms.
Love it.

Maesa is the perfect introduction to the Mortal Realms. As a wanderer he is both familiar and strange; Tolkien-esque enough for new readers but with just enough high concept fantasy to feel at home in the Age of Sigmar.

Guy Haley does a fantastic job of slowly unfurling Maesa’s story, developing, enriching and adding nuance and character over the course of the novel. By the end of the adventure Maesa is a genuinely moving and tragic hero and his relationship to the love-able sprite Shattercap is both heart warming and wrenching in equal measure.

To top it off the performance breaths life into the whole tale with clearly realized characters and wonderful tone and energy.

Definitely worth a read (well, listen). With any luck the Autumn Prince will become an AoS staple!

Really immersive fantasy chapters. A must for any wood elf / wanderers fans, especially as there is not much else to appease us nowadays.

Brilliant story, both in the whole but also in each part that makes it up. Feels like a mythic cycle or epic where the tale of a hero is told through many legends that interweave and progress. Would even recommend to those with no knowledge of the Age of Sigmar, as the story is one of humanity and life itself, where fantasy is used in the way it may, to highlight nuances within our lives that could otherwise go unnoticed.

I was unsure at first due to not really being into age of sigma and especially elves at that, decided to try it because of the ratings it had..I have to admit it was brilliant. definitely recommend it..

This was an enjoyable listen and loved every second of it. Guy Haley has really written something good here and I think the first AOS book he’s written too I think.
Highly recommend listening, as there is a twist that will shock you in the end. ;-)

just a brilliant story. had already heard a short story of the prince so this was fantastic.

I didn’t know at first if I wanted to pick up this book. But after a preview from one of the short novels I just wanted to know how this book ended.

I liked the reference from other events in the Age of Sigmar timeline. The only dislike was the narrating of some sentences. There are al lot of “he said” bits that annoyed me, but overall a surprisingly good read.
