A year later he'd realised the dream and signed a professional contract. Easily one of the best sports autobiographies I have read or listened to. David Millar is very articulate and the book is well written and structured, not amateurish like some autobiographies. Also features one of the best narrators.

This is a brilliant look back in cycling history and understand what really went on. David Miller attempt s to sort out the issues and make a cleaner future .. fantastic read 👍

At times the book felt slightly self serving and righteous, successfully differentiating himself from the doping riders he vilifies throughout. However, the book was a great condensed chronology of his career and the cycling world as it was then (and perhaps is still is now). There is no question David was an excellent rider and an equally great writer.

David Millar makes a Frank intelligent and amazing life story here. I particularly like his early days of racing. Best book I have ever read on the pro cycling scene.

The narrator speaks so much like David Millar it's uncanny.
the book - it's good, good story, insightful into the world of cycling and doping. at times it can come across as David seems to portray himself as the victim of his own doping / choices - apart from that good book
