The producer of this audiobook is an award-winning sound designer and composer. When he and his wife struggled with sleep apnea, he searched for an audio program that would help. "I mostly found cheap sound effects with repetitive, looping tones. Granted, my background makes me a little picky, but I found these programs more annoying that relaxing."
So he set out to record the best sounds he could find. The ocean waves, rain, thunder, streams and waterfalls are all original recordings.
Next, he experimented with tones. This program is the first to include arrangements of beautiful classical music. "I have produced over twenty experimental programs now and have had sleep doctors, patients, as well as my own friends and family members try them on. Great sounds, great length
I have been listening to this on just the speaker of my phone and it has been very relaxing indeed.
I like that the guided imagery voice only lasts a couple of minutes, and then gets out of the way for the thunderstorm sounds to continue.
I also really appreciate that there are two programs that are each 10 hours long.
That is a rare find on Audible!
