The producer of the audiobook is an award-winning sound designer and composer. When he and his wife struggled with sleep apnea, he searched for an audio program that would help. "I mostly found cheap sound effects with repetitive, looping tones. Granted, my background makes me a little picky, but I found these programs more annoying that relaxing." So he set out to record the best sounds he could find. The ocean waves, rain, thunder, streams and waterfalls are all original recordings.
Next, he experimented with tones. This program is the first to include arrangements of beautiful classical music. "I have produced over twenty experimental programs now and have had sleep doctors, patients, as well as my own friends and family members try them on. This current series of "Relaxing Sounds" has been very well received and has been proven to be the most effective by the largest number of people."

So far, the whole series is brilliant
My sleep apnea doctor told me to try to take a nap during the day.
I have tried different sounds, particularly to drown out the outside noise.
All of the other sound effects have had something about them that annoyed me and kept me awake. This is the first one that works perfectly. (I like the others in the series too.)
Getting an extra hour of sleep during the day has really made all the difference. Thank you!
