RP is not funny as it can be the cause of loss of vision, either in adults or children. Its effect on vision can be slow-moving or it can progress very quickly.

The author has been affected for over 30 years and understands the emotional toll this condition can have on the newly diagnosed. I didn't know about the existence of the disease retinitis pigmentosa, or RP. It is transmitted by genes. I learned about the living conditions of the people concerned and how daily life can turn into a real merry-go-round. Hilarious and touching stories are told by many RP sufferers. Testimonials that lead to hilarious situations, such as not realizing they are talking to their reflection in the mirror, a plastic bag in the wind is seen as a dog that does not obey, or a basting brush unintentionally cooked under the pizza, because it was not found before cooking. I loved these tasty anecdotes.
