Are you ready for a great enemies to lovers romance? Well I have found it for you! W. Million has written a story that will worm it's way into your heart! Grady and Maggie. What a mess. These two have had a tumultuous time. Grady and Maggie had one night. Then things went awry and Grady blamed Maggie for the problems his brother, Trent was going through and when he leaves to pursue his music career, let's the whole world know just how he feels through his music. This love hate relationship remains for years despite no contact. So when Grady comes back, there is definitely that spark and anger between them. Million writes a story of frustration and aching longing. She finds the essence of soulmates and makes them work so hard to find the way to love. I was stuck, waiting patiently for forgiveness and love. It's that emotional drain that builds back that makes this a fabulous listen. Give it a try!

Corvin King and Charlotte North bring this gem alive. King has one of those voices that when it hits my ears, I am immediately in love. Doesn't matter what his character does, though in this case he plays Grady with all the emotions. I could feel every one. North is Maggie, full of spunk and vinegar, ready to take on the world and give back everything for the guilt she carries. Every time she speaks, North lays in every pull on the emotions. I loved these two and their performance.

This second chance, enemies to lovers, small town romance was my first book by W. Million. I really liked Maggie and Grady’s story. The characters were well written and I loved how these two came back to each other. I didn’t like the secrecy and misunderstanding part of this storyline, but this was still a very enjoyable book!

Corvin King & Charlotte North were phenomenal narrators and they really made this audiobook experience extremely enjoyable.

I really liked the premise of this book. The musician returning to the small town, the run for mayor, and the family drama all in the background made some fun, tension filled scenes and the perfect (light) amount of angst for the overall vibes of the story. Maggie and Grady's banter had me smirking to myself multiple times throughout and hearing it in audio made it that much more fun. The timing of the storyline was great and had me dialed in, not wanting to turn it off. There were also so really fun side characters that keep things lively as well.

Both narrators did an amazing job with this dual style narration. It was easy to get lost in the story with how well they differentiated characters, voices, and personalities. If you are on the fence about which format to consume this book, I definitely recommend catching this one in audio.

Grady left his hometown at his first opportunity in part to pursue his love of music and in part because of the events that unfolded with his brother and his brother’s girlfriend Maggie. Years later he is back but his feelings for Maggie are complicated, so he decides to run against her in the race to become the town’s mayor.

Maggie holds a grudge against Grady for the way he treated her and his brother. Seeing him again brings up all the feelings of the past and it doesn’t help when he becomes her rival. The attraction that Grady and Maggie have always had is stronger than ever, but they must not only deal with the hurt from the past but the challenges they face in the present as well.

Not only are Grady and Maggie great characters but they are surrounded by friends and family who guide them in right direction. Corvin King does a wonderful job showing the personality of Grady while Charlotte North captures the insecurities and emotions of Maggie.

Okayyy!!! this audiobook had me in my feels 😭💕
You know that kind of story where two people have all this history and unresolved tension that practically sizzles through every scene? That’s Rival Hearts in a nutshell.

Grady is the brooding musician with a past. Maggie is the tough, smart mayor with a broken heart she doesn’t show anyone. Put them back in the same town, add a mayoral race and years of baggage = FIRE 🔥

I loved how real and layered their relationship felt. It wasn’t just banter and chemistry (although yes, there’s plenty of that 😏), but also deep emotional stakes. Wendy Million really gets how to write flawed, lovable characters.

🎧 As for the narration—Charlotte North nailed Maggie’s strength and vulnerability, and Corvin King’s voice? Literally melted me. Their voices together? Instant spark.
