At least, he can—but will he?

And, most unlikely of all, has Commander Hay's long-suffering adjutant finally experienced the first faint stirrings of romance? Is such a thing even possible?

I don't know how Jodi Taylor fits so much plot into such a short time - absolutely brilliant nudging on of the story arc while also delivering a lovely feelgood story.

Jodi Taylor’s books are fabulous and her ability to maintain our interest in all the characters in both the Time Police and St Mary’s series is impressive. This Christmas episode is up to the usual high standards and, as always, Zara Ramm’s narration is perfect.
