About this listen

Zane's become a regional powerhouse. Now he’ll see how he stacks up against the best in the world.

He’s off to an elite summit where he’ll face off against the strongest fighters the world has to offer. A wealth of resources is up for grabs—if you’ve got the strength to seize them. It’ll push Zane to his very limits.

Meanwhile Mike Masters, the mafia ruler of Southern California, has learned Zane’s been killing off his minions—and he’s coming for vengeance. And Zane's estranged brother Jason, king of the East Coast, has a bone to pick with him too.

To be the best, you’ve got to beat the best. And Zane will rise to the challenge.

Dammmmmmn!!!! That’s how you write the book. Both the the author and the narrator did a fantastic job. I can’t wait for the next book. I just want it now. The Cliffhanger is crazy.

Wooooow

I can't wait to start listening to book three as soon as I'm done with this review and hopefully book four will be released on Audible soon because this is a good series of I can't wait to hear it

Great story

This is exactly how I wanted this story to progress. I don't normally write reviews but I burst out laughing at the start of chapter 189. Listen very carefully and you'll hear it too 👂

Great follow on from the first book

One of the best series of book I've ever heard. Right from the first paragraph in the first book to the end of the second, ( not read the 3rd yet but give me a couple days) The characters are well written and you can feel what they feel at every turn! the narrator us amazing and adds a great warmth to the books.

Simply amazing

I get that Zane is in some awesome fights and you want to pad them out and be descriptive, but why when he gets hurt do you have to find 20x ways to say his body is broken instead of saying maybe twice and then moving on. why did I have to just skip 8 mins of waffle mid fight to then just carry on with it.

This was a small rant, not to be taken as my overall opinion of the book, the actual series is amazing and very well narrated.

Great book but why waffle during the fights

This book is pretty good, but definitely a step back from the first book. The ending was decent though so I have hopes for the third book.

One thing that I found annoying was the constant mentions of how tall or how big every aspect of the protagonist is. It was interesting the first few times, but after the 40th time hearing how big the protagonist is I considered dropping the book right then and there.

Maybe a 7 out 10
