About this listen
Zyon is my vampire soulmate, and I have the bite marks to prove it.But we have to keep our romance a secret… for now. I can’t imagine being with anyone else, but the vampire queen commanded me to step back and pretend Zyon hasn’t already claimed me as his mate. I swear, if I see one more woman fawn over him, I might just snap.
Zyon is to shut down every woman who tries to flirt with him. Zyon only wants me… so the vampiresses trying to steal him away from me can suck it! Adding to my list of worries is the way my body seems to have a mind of its own, like something inside me is desperate to get out. And I have a feeling that whatever is locked away isn’t going to want to play nice with my new, soon-to-be vampire family. To make matters worse, I feel like I’m still being watched. But that’s impossible, right?
Please Note: Although this book does have women trying to catch Zyon’s eye, he is quick to shut them down. There is no cheating and Zyon threatens to rip body parts off any females who dare to touch him.
Please be sure to listen to the full sensitivity note before diving into this story. With a violent, obsessed stalker and a protective vampire prince with a beast-like form, some scenes are a bit wild and include darker elements (such as physical violence and death during attack/battle scenes).
©2023 Sedona Ashe (P)2023 Sedona AsheThe male narrator doesn’t have many chapters. Would’ve worked well as a duet. The female narrator was also good. The story ends with the suggestion of a third book.
The story had an interesting angle, from the view of vampires existing opening in what was previously thought to be a human world. Meanwhile, there are another group of people who are insular, carry an illogical, ingrained hatred against the vampires, for outdated cultural reasons; it’s has subtle political meaning. However , both groups have a weird superiority complex over the human world - quite snobby really. There’s a few parts where you see the plot turns coming, but it’s all very entertaining with a little humour as well. The story is spicy in parts, much to the chagrin of others.
Enjoyable short listen
