Moreland argues his case very clearly and accessibly for the intelligent layman. Crucial to his argument is the ongoing centrality of philosophy to the scientific enterprise and the dependence of the latter upon the former. Even for those who resist Christian theism as the most powerful or plausible philosophical foundation for ‘natural’ science (and the purpose of this book is not a full fledged defense of theism), I hope that any honest listener of this book will acknowledge that the scientistic arguments often made in the name of science are actually arguments about the philosophy of science, and while they may be fashionable, they are not well-founded and are in many cases self-refuting.
