Mike Lynch is going through hard times. But things get much worse when he witnesses a murder in a lay-by. Snatching the victim’s car in order to get away, Mike soon makes a shocking discovery - the victim’s young daughter and her nanny are hiding in the rear footwell. This is when the real trouble begins.
Mike wants to go to the police, but the nanny, Melissa, wants to delay until the daughter, Charlie, is somewhere safe. Who exactly was the man he saw murdered? And who is the man he saw pulling the trigger?
In a situation where nothing is what it seems, Mike will have to fight for his life to protect a woman and a child he doesn’t know. And when the death count rises, he will discover what kind of man he really is. When you can’t identify the victim, how can you find the killer?

Entertainment without excessive gore.
Slightly different book from usual storylines by author. Thoroughly enjoyed the listen and hope more adventures from Mike Lynch to come

Interesting characters
The story starts off interesting and kept me engaged throughout. The main character is a middle aged graphic designer and the story revolves around his actions after he finds himself a witness to a murder.

A lot of waffling
Struggled to get through it. 4 or 5 bits of excitement surrounded by lots of filling in. I was bored but wanted to know who it was. Nothing you haven’t heard several times before.

rip roaring tale
Very exciting tale that never slows .Excellent reader who totally delivered with voice characters that were each very different without him changing his voice too much..I've enjoyed pretty well all of the Tony Forder books I've listened to and this one was very satisfying..

Bad grammar throughout, narrator mispronounces lots of words, but a great story
Lots of instances of “was sat”, and many repeated mistakes such as “myself and Terry searched the bodies”, “both myself and Melissa…” - frustrating. The narrator also mispronounces several words.
However, the plot is enjoyable and exciting.
