I'm not sure that you need to read the first book to enjoy this one but I like that I did because it has made the story better as I have gotten to know the characters better. Clara and Jasper have gotten engaged but as they wait for the wedding day things start happening around the farm that will change everything! This book is another great story with the exciting and suspenseful situations our characters end up in. The new characters we meet are sure to make the next book just as exciting. I can hardly wait to find out what is going to happen with the renegades!
