Even if one ultimately does not accept ID Signature in the Cell makes a strong case based on standard scientific approaches. An excellent book.

Stunningly thorough account of life origin problem

Successfully tackles all scientific and many philosophical objections to intelligent design hypothesis, showing that ID is reasonable, scientific, and by inference the best explanation to date for the origin of life.

Superb book. The depth of information is astounding. Loved every minute. If you have no scientific back ground could be hard going. But everyone will get something from this book.

I was captivated by the arguments in each chapter hearing we find reason and logic as to why intelligent agency is the best scientific explanation for the origin of life the origin of biological information the signature in the cell. people who attack these arguments do so not because of refuting the science hearing explains but due to philosophical positions an emotional dispositions that despise the idea of articulating an intelligent agency as the cause of life in the universe. well done Stephen Meyer awesome book will reread!

A Designer

Deep stuff for the ordinary mind and the physical book will be necessary for referencing, but worth knowing. It explains the scientific detail and reason for what is obvious in the uniqueness of life - there is a Designer.

The *true* science

This is in no way a religious book and it is utterly religiously neutral. The implications are theistic, but that does not make this book and its theory non-scientific. Author proves the reasonableness and logic to at least consider intelligent design behind life; and specifically, the *complex specified* information required for its begining and continued existence, through biology, probability, physical laws, philosophy, examples of performed experiments (even those done by stern evolutionists), logic and common sense. It clearly shows there is no place for bias in science and that answering question "How did life came to be?" with simply saying "evolution", or "chance", doesn't actually answer that question and reveals answerer's ignorance.
So why is intelligent design often called "pseudoscientific"?
If someone says "we don't know how life began" and then goes on to pretty much say "but it certainly wasn't God", how scientific is that? Think about who describes it that way and doesn't that term technically apply to evolution as well from the exact same perspective? The truth is that not believing in intelligent creator has too much at stake. If there isn't a God, you can do whatever you want and will not be called to an account for my actions, whereas if there is God--and here you have a *scientific* discourse that there may be (purely as a designing agent)--it means you are responsible for your actions, that there are things that you shouldn't do, despite how much you would enjoy them otherwise. If you accept it may be a possibility that this is the reason for your rejection of intelligent creator, try to challenge your believes with this book. Might want to listen at 80% speed though, the subject is way too complex to listen at the original rate.

Really worth reading!

Great book presenting logical, well-argumented claims about the evidence for intelligent design in a methodical and thorough way. Not an easy read though if you cannot stomach more scholarly text and technical details from science but the insight it can give you as well as the factual base on which to ground one's beliefs about intelligent design make this book a truly rewarding reading.

Amazing book packed full of good science.

Great book. Not full of religion as some reviews claim.
it is full of science and critical thinking.
in some places it gets a bit heavy on the biology/biochemistry, which I am not sure people will get if they don't have a scientific background.
As someone with a scientific background I found the book very well thought out and convincing.
