Summary
A sacrifice made. A Primordial defeated. The hard part starts now.
Felix had risked everything to stop the threat of the Unending Maw. Except instead of death, he and his Companion Pit were transported to the deadly Void, a place far worse than the Foglands. The Maw is there with them, bonded somehow to Felix in a way none of them understand, but all of them hate.
The three must navigate the desolate expanse of the dark Void, contending with voidbeasts, marauders, and the creeping influence of the Maw itself. It will take everything that Felix has—and more—merely to survive, let alone escape.
All choices have consequences.

An Excellent Follow Up!
This book continues Felix's and Pit's adventures, but this time they are in the emptiness of the Void.
Full of non stop fighting from beginning to end.
I really enjoyed this book, Travis Baldree's narration is brilliant, as always.
Waiting for the next one!

Good but I find the language bizarre.
I'm old and have been reading sci-fi for 30 years. Sci-fi has always been progressive, it's part of it's purpose. However it's always respected the language it's written in. This writer for some reason seems to make intentional grammatical errors.
The forced diversity and pandering to a particular 21st century political ideology does not fit the setting imo. Maybe it's trendy and I'm just old.
That said I'm enjoying the series and I may carry on, I hope they don't continue to shout the spells out loud like Harry potter or some Japanese animé.

I LOVE THE BOOK BUT
The story is too short the first time it left of a 🙃cliffhanger🙃 but the second time ther is not enough skill processing.
suggestions
He is unbound give him a 7% chance of no bebuff and and he should become more unbound or bound at will to things like gravity and or give him a spiritual body that negates %physical attacks, restrictions of skills like skill froming should become more broken 😉 overpowered and laws of nature can be broken by his will to an extent of course.

Felix and Pit (and Maw) ‘phone home’
Cast into the void, with his trusted companion - Pit and the less welcome Maw, Felix needs to find a way back to the continent.. but everyone he meets is less than accommodating… battles ensue.. but will he make it… he’d better as I want book 3!

The void is so boring.
I really liked the first book. I got this one before I was even finished with that one. however, I really didn't like this book. The void and everything that took olace in it was just so boring to me. So I'm really glad this book was only half the length of the rest. although I think they should have had more chapters for once he'd gotten out. also, despite His perfect recall, he forgot so many useful things. like when the maw said that the voud whales "Rarely leave the void". which implies that they can leave the void. however, once this line is said, Felix just ignores it and no one ever brings it up again. and this happened like right at the start, so it was like foreshadowing that necer went anyway.

The reader was excellent.
Fantastic narrating, very good at multiple voices, the story overall was slightly lacking, but it still had me hooked till the end, the narrative and world building was top notch.

fantastic
The description of the Void and creatures within is vivid, the story and charterers really draw you in and make you care about what is happening to them, the only problem is that it's only half as long os the first book.
