About this listen
World number one tennis star Elin Larsson is in hot pursuit of a record number of Grand Slam titles. But between pressing injuries and growing anxiety, it's starting to feel like her heart isn't in it.
Gorgeous rival player Toni Cortes Ruiz bursts onto the scene, chasing her first slam.
As their paths keep crossing in big matches, a growing attraction starts to burn between the competitive women. Elin's used to winning - but not when the woman she's falling for is on the other side of the net. As scandals, the media, and the world starts closing in on them, Elin and Toni need to decide whether they're competitors or on the same side.
Contains mature themes.

But… She obviously loves her kids but there was complexity and pressure that went unexplored.
In terms of performance, the accents were inconsistent but that’s just always so difficult to manage - I suppose no one can switch in and out of accents they don’t genuinely have, to this extent, and do it perfectly.
Enjoyable but inconsistent

A story that kept me awake until finished

My main issue with the narration was the continual butchering of the protagonist Elin Larsson's name; the name kept being pronounced as something akin to Alin Lorschen while a reasonable English pronunciation of Elin would be E-lin with the E like in E-mail, the Larsson in English should pretty much be pronounced like larceny without the y, I E a decent English pronunciation would have it basically rhyming with 'arson'.
The narrator also kept butchering the name of the Australian city of "Melbourne" and pronouncing it kind of like as "Melbin", at least I think they intended to talk about "Melbourne" when "Melbin" was said.
So apart from those minor issues, especially as a Swede, I really enjoyed the book and would recommend it to people I know are into romance novels.
Really good story with some flaws in narration
