Parent, author, & school counselor recommended!

Social skills are crucial when it comes to kids and how it carries on to adulthood. We all know some adults lack social skills and emotional intelligence. These books are highly recommended to teachers, counselors, parents, and even grandparents!

My favorite section was on handling conflict resolution which is something so many of my child, her friends and even my adult clients could use! These books are highly recommended!

Great tool

Growing up during the pandemic when you’re stuck at home has been a hinderance to children when it comes to developing their social skills. But this book is changing that - with role playing activities, games, and tips parents can be more hands on in the approach to helping their child learn vital social skills that will help them transition into the school world.

I especially appreciate the emphasis on building self awareness, problem solving and active listening!

A Great Guide for Kids

This book is fantastic for helping kids learn to handle their feelings and improve their social skills. It looks at important aspects of growing up socially and shows parents, caregivers, and teens how they can use the activities to grow and learn together.

I really like the chapter summaries at the end of each chapter. They give a helpful recap of what you've just read, which makes it easier to remember and apply the ideas. Overall, this book is a wonderful guide for kids as they navigate the sometimes tricky world of emotions and social interactions. It's like having a trusted friend to help them along the way.

Empower children

This book has an engaging and child-friendly approach. The author employs a creative metaphor of a safari adventure to make learning about social skills fun and relatable for kids. This approach captures children's imaginations and makes the concepts accessible. Both books emphasize the importance of empathy and understanding the perspectives of others, fostering empathy and emotional intelligence in children. This holistic approach recognizes that social skills extend beyond mere surface interactions and are integral to personal development. Highly recommended.

Important life skill

You've heard the phrase, it's not what you know but who you know. And that couldn't hold more true in life. The people who succeed with ease have a network of people they can count on whenever they need something. Those who struggle, have no network and rely on themselves to do and fix everything.

That said, I think one of the most important skills a parent and help ingrain in a child is good social skills, how to be comfortable around others, interact in positive ways, handle conflict, and develop leadership skills - the kind skills taught in this book. A child that can do that effectively will be much more successful and happier in the long run.
