Freedom is yours…this book opens the doors!

I liked the instant, immediate relatability of this book. I felt seen, heard, understood. I felt empathy as well as empowerment. I felt valued and validated: worthy and loved, even in my emotional agony. Bhakti Tirtha Swami’s compassion awakened my own self-compassion, something I realised we can all access, daily. Self-care is not an option, but a priority, for which only we can take responsibility. No one is coming to save us and yet we also need to ask for help: both these realities are simultaneous truths. Knowing when to apply self-help and when to ask for help, is wisdom. I felt supported to heal my crisis of dealing with mental health challenges: anxiety, fear, anger, grief, depression and addiction to my material attachments. These are all roads I have been travelling on that lead to nowhere. Just like a hamster running on a wheel; our daily grind: moving - but not really moving. Stuck, still and stagnant. I yearned for growth and a more meaningful experience of life. I saw fog and darkness all around me. But now, I’ve let the warm sun of spirituality embrace and envelop me. I am smiling, gratefully. Thank you for ushering this gift into my life, Pallika Dasa, the Audible Book speaker, and Bhakti Tirtha Swami, the author! I was delighted to learn of wisdom and methods of spiritual technology, to free me from my mental struggle; my internal, invisible battle: a war waging and raging within. To others, I seem fine and ok, but inside I felt miserable and dismayed. So, I read this book as an emergency without delay. The result? Now, I finally feel free, and intend to read this book repeatedly, as many times as I need, to remind me, that: I can choose to see, codify and engage with the world around me, with a healthy, helpful and harmonious new lens, new light and new perspective: every moment, of every day. I am more reflective and excited to move forwards with my new-found freedom: reframing my thoughts to create a reality that is kinder to myself and others. I hope you, dear fellow reader, will also feel welcome, to free yourself and conquer the enemies of the mind, by following the simple, practical tips, tricks and tried-and-tested teachings of this book. Already, I can see I am more focused in my work, and had a heart-opening in my relationships, to better manage the array of conflict, friction, tension, loneliness and distance I was feeling. Now, I feel more connected to myself, more connected my purpose to make a difference in this world and more motivated to care for people I care about, and let them care for me. I love how this book is based on both socio-behavioural and scientific studies, stories and statistics, as well as spiritual stories, self-empowerment abilities and soul-nourishing wisdom from sacred texts. The knowledge is evidence-based, reliably resourced and referenced information, which cuts through all the confusion, illusion and misinformation out there. We need clarity and self-awareness to make our mind a fortress. This book can help any reader transcend the duality of life’s stressful problems and unfulfilling material success. Frustrating difficulty can be transformed into resiliency and an opportunity to be the one thing we all want to be so badly: happy. I appreciated the reminder that we are loved unconditionally in our true identity, so what is stopping us from accessing and sharing that love with others, abundantly? Only our inability, to “Conquer the enemies of our mind”, admittedly. Perhaps we feel people have disappointed us and we have disappointed ourselves. What to do? Learn how to heal such feelings, work through releasing the discomfort gradually, and access higher connection to enliven us. I think there is sense in helping ourselves and those around us to apply the teachings in this book. Let’s quit being so hard on ourselves and others, or feeling hopeless, helpless and powerless. There IS an alternative to the mind’s sadness. We are MORE than our minds. We are the person who can learn to use our mind as a tool to empower ourselves and others. Let’s drop the overwhelm, guilt, shame and blame of past problems. Let’s drop fear of the future, and realise our power, to choose right here; right now, to live and laugh through life’s adventure, fully absorbed in the present moment only - enthusiastically - as Bhakti Tirtha Swami invites us to, shall we? Let’s dance in a new reality, available equally to you, me and WE: a family, unified by a centre of spirituality, and who can together be: HAPPY. Life can be celebratory, if we open our mind and heart, instead of shutting it down, sadly. The enemies of the mind are our creations of falsity. To love and be loved, is the only reality :o)
