About this listen

The Federation races to discover the culprits of several terrorist attacks, sending their flagship, the USS Prometheus, to stop war breaking out in the galaxy.

A mysterious terrorist organisation has carried out several attacks against the Federation and Klingon Empire. Tensions are running high in a region already crippled by conflict. The perpetrators are tracked to the Lembatta Cluster, a mysterious region of space whose inhabitants, the Renao, regard the Alpha Quadrant s powers as little more than conquering tyrants. The Federation are desperate to prevent more bloodshed, and have sent their most powerful warship, the USS Prometheus, into the Cluster to investigate the threat before all-consuming war breaks out.

The story is well written with great characters introduced but unfortunately the narrator pronounces certain words wrong which gets irritating . Can’t wait too start book two now hopefully with less of the mispronouncing .

Superb first book of the series

Interesting story that for once doesn't focus in the crew of the USS Enterprise! Only slight quibble was some unusual pronunciation of some Star Trek phrases, other than that, recommended!

Really good story!

I loved it, start to finish. Brilliant story with excellent narration bringing the characters to life. I'm excited for the second installment.

An amazing first story from the USS Prometheus!

Great fast pacing story with great characters. The story teller welcomes into the star trek world rich with new characters and old friends .

An edge of your seat story!

The narrator could of learned the pronunciation of some trek words but he was excellent at reading and sounding like different characters. the story tho slow at the start really pick it giving it that star trek vibe you get from watching the tv cannot wait to listen to the rest!!!

what a story

The narrator mispronounces almost every name, species and planet. Even the buoy was pronounced “boy”! Spoils an otherwise great story!

Poor Narration

This was an enjoyable Star Trek Novel, though I felt that the narrator took a few chapters to 'get into' the story properly. His initial narration has a 'going through the motions' feel, but by later chapters his performance is far more interesting and exciting. I would recommend this audiobook with the caveat that you will need to persevere a little, to begin with.

Really enjoyable, after initial perseverance!

I did enjoy the story however the person narrating was obviously not a Trek fan, nor had he done any research on how certain "TREK" specific words should be pronounced, therfor he mispronounced some words which was annoying and interfeared with the flow of the story. overall a good 1st instalment and I will be buying the rest of the books in the series.

good story, slightly iffy Narration

I enjoyed this book it had a very good story with good characters. The only thing that got on my nerves was the way the performer pronounced Star Trek words such as Khitomer accords which he pronounced as K’tarma accords , Kahless which he pronounced as Karlass and Betazoid which he pronounced as Beetszoid. It was quite annoying but I very much enjoyed this

The performer pronounced Star Trek words wrong

its a good story line being similar to other more recent star trek trilogys but the only problem is the narraitor (yes i have misspelt it) can not say a large number of standard trek words such as Tal Shiar or Qo'nos

good story but...
