About this listen

London, January 2014. In the space of 32 hours, in a well-planned and highly organized operation, six billionaires' children are taken off the streets of London in a series of slickly well-executed kidnaps.

The gang demands £25 million per hostage for "expenses" - not ransom. And when your child goes missing, you need Charles Boxer: a man with little left to lose, who'll stop at nothing to save families suffering what he has.

The wealthy parents of the missing children know that Boxer will do more than police can - but that doesn't mean the law will leave it to him. Intelligence agencies are all interested in the kidnaps because in each case the parents are related to people in power in the various countries involved.

Soon the investigation goes beyond the corridors of power and the boardrooms of big corporations - and to far darker corners. Even more worryingly for Boxer and his ex-wife, Mercy, it threatens to lead back to their own lives, too.

But still nobody knows what this mysterious kidnap gang ultimately want, and if they have a cause, what the hell is it?

A great listen

This is the 3rd in the series and I have enjoyed all 3 of these. Was a bit apprehensive after listening to the Falcon series but wasn't disappointed.

A couple of 'really' moments - I won't spoil anything! Good storyline - agree with another reviewer that a bit far fetched in places but still a great listen.

When's the next one......

When is the next one coming out

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Definitely.

The story and the narration is superb. Characters come to life.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Chevon. Mainly because you did not know who you were dealing with until the very end.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

Too many to mention.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes. But can't tell you as it would be a spoiler.

Any additional comments?

Read it. Listen to it. Enjoy it.

Yes a bit far fetched - still a great listen

I am enjoying this series. This instalment is not quite as well written as the previous ones - the action descriptions being a bit 'boy's own' and a little bit too much violence for my liking. The central plot with the multiple kidnaps is a good one but it was obviously a bit of a struggle to hold it all together - and some aspects ere never wholly explained, whilst the subplot with 2 further kidnaps just sort of drifts about. Having said that it's still very much worth a listen, fabulously read by the great Steven Pacey and ending as always on a question mark.

Good narrator

A bit of a Boys Own Story audio book. Very far fetched and overly complicated, with dozens of names to remember. The sex angle was bizarre and unbelievable!
I buy anything narrated by Steven Pacey, as he's one of the best but he was let down by this author
