About this listen
I had the perfect friends, the perfect family. The perfect everything. We were a greeting card you wanted to frame.
And then he showed up on our doorstep, looking like the aftermath of a rock concert, claiming to be my adopted brother’s half-brother. Sounds like trouble, right? He looked like trouble. Hell, his name defined trouble.
Ruffian had bad news and heartbreak written all over him. But knowing he would break my heart didn’t stop me from falling.

I couldn't quite connect with this story in the way I did with book 1. I'm in a fatigue and pain cycle, so that may play a part, but I think mostly I didn't like Ruffians dishonesty throughout most of it.😢 I know it was all for the greater good, but it didn't sit right with me.🤷🏻♀️
These two narrators, damn they're so good!😍⭐️ Again, they managed to humanise all of the characters. The male played Ruff so beautifully that I feel guilty I didn't like him more.🙈 Outstanding performances.👏
This story highlights the issues homeless people face. Gaining medical care, food, shelter, especially in the winter, etc. It really makes you question where our governments are in these circumstances. They're so quick to assume the worst immediately. One wrong turn, and it could be any of us!😢
Well worth reading.⭐️
