About this listen
A hardened group of survivors fight back against a zombie plague that has brought down civilization. With the world consumed by a devastating plague that drives humans violently insane, what was once a band of desperate survivors bobbing on a dark Atlantic ocean has now become Wolf Squadron, the only hope for the salvation of the human race. Banding together with what remains of the U.S. Navy, Wolf Squadron, and its leader Steve Smith, not only plans to survive - he plans to retake the mainland from the infected, starting with North America. Smith's teenage daughters have become zombie hunters of unparalleled skill, both at land and on the sea, and they may hold the key to the rebirth of civilization on a devastated planet.

Really enjoyed this series
Author avoided turning it into a people v people book.. Avoided the rotting corpse walking scenario (which biologicaly would not work) had a plausible sounding start to the "plague" (not that I'm a biologist).. Avoided the stupid people doing stupid things scenario's..

Just getting better :)
Any additional comments?
I am just gripped by these books, normally series do have stuttering books but ok only book 4 but so far each one gets better than the last. Can not wait until number 5!

Slightly less coherent than books 1-3
There is more of a gearshift from book 3 than there was from book 2 to 3, and it seemed slightly discordant once or twice. "Wilkes" previously a very somber character with a fairly stern parental tone in all conversations, suddenly in this book is jocular and, having been reduced from secondary character to background, is acting like a random 30-something. I'm not sure if it's the lines as written or the delivery, but it was jarring in spots. Even so, I enjoyed the book and look forward to any sequel that may come.

not as good as the other books
I loved the other books in this series but this was a let down. To full of acronyms and abbreviations and not enough story about the characters and situations. lots of information that didn't add to the overall story and just not enough plot.

less pedophilia, still terrible.
Onto book 4 in my quest to read the worst zombie invasion book series. This one has a lot less pedophilic comments (altho we still have an almost 70 year old man wanting to deflower a 14 year old girl) but it has a lot more far right nuttery. It very much falls into the "rightwing is always good, leftwing is always bad" camp.
