About this listen
Strange Tales of Scotland all deal with a particular aspect of Scottish mysteries.
You'll learn of the ghost that appeared at the wedding of King Alexander II, and of monsters such as the Shellycoat and Water-horse that were thought to inhabit Scotland’s lochs.
Another part deals exclusively with Loch Ness, and the strange happenings at that mysterious body of water. Later, we have a look at the mysterious deaths at the Flannan Islands Lighthouse, and at the strange creatures that were once believed to infest the hills and glens of Scotland, including the terrifying brollachan and the slaugh.
Tales of Mermaids and Fin-men are unearthed, as are terrible stories of Scotland’s caves, including human sacrifice at Moray’s Sculptor’s Cave. The legends of Roslin Chapel and its nearby castle are examined, with the possible connection to the Knights Templar.
Finally, we have a look at the legend of the phantom armies of Scotland; soldiers who refuse to fade away even centuries after their wars have been fought, and their causes faded in history.
Welcome to the Strange Tales of Scotland.

Interesting
The man speaking has an annoying way of saying Scottish words especially place names but the content of the book is interesting and made me endure the way it was read. It would be good if audible books had 2 spoken versions so you can change to the other oral version.

spoilt by an excruciating accent
excellent content but the accent of the narrator is eargratingly awful. He can't decide whether he is Scottish, Irish, American or something else. whatever...his accent is definitely not Scottish. Just dreadful. I couldn't listen past the first story and gave up and bought the kindle version.

Fantastic stories, well read.
The stories are interesting and the way it is written and read suits the subject matter very well. Very engaging book, will definitely look at the others. I liked the narrator, his tone of voice matched the folktale atmosphere and he wasn’t dull, although I did feel it sounded better at 1.2x speed. His accent sounded fine and he was easy to understand.

Stories quite good but narrator odd
Clearly someone trying to do a Scottish accent as there's some very odd pronunciation. The stories are quite good

Very Interesting
This book was filled with epic tales of Scotland and the detail in the book was on point. Narrator was brilliant in reading them and Author did a fantastic job with the writings. Definitely worth the time.

Terrible accent
Couldn’t get past the terrible attempt at a Scottish accent. Up there with Mel Gibson’s poor attempt. Could f finish the listen
