About this listen

The heartwarming new audiobook from the No. 5 Sunday Times bestselling author, perfect for fans of Carole Matthews, Milly Johnson and Cathy Bramley

Kate
is on the run from her almost-divorced husband who is determined to have her back, and she has found the perfect place to hide... a little cottage on Nightingale Square in Norwich, far away from her old life in London. But the residents of Nightingale Square don't take no for an answer, and Kate soon finds herself pulled into a friendship with Lisa, her bossy but lovely new neighbour.

Within a matter of days Kate is landed with the job of campaigning the council to turn the green into a community garden, meanwhile all the residents of Nightingale Square are horrified to discover that the Victorian mansion house on the other side of the square has been bought by developers. But when all hope is lost, the arrival of a handsome stranger is sure to turn things around!

Heidi Swain is the perfect summer read - you'll want to find your own green space, stretch out in the sun and dive into life at Nightingale Square.

Absolute drivel and I enjoyed it

This is a typical story... The heroine is betrayed by scum bag husband runs away to start a new life, Meets hansome stranger who can't possibly be as fabulous as he appears, ie drop dead gorgeous, rich and sooooo caing.. lol
One night of passion, a misunderstanding. Have I lost him or haven't I? oops I was wrong, I am preggers...ooer do I tell him.... etc etc..but it sent me to sleep and it was free, and I strangely enjoyed it, dispite an itch in the palm of my hand from wanting to give them a slap and say Oh for goodness sake!!
Harmless read.. Yes I would recommend it.

naff

just kinda naff, I wish every "happy ending" didn't have to involve bloody pregnancy. it was fine. But the ending felt a little rushed. it's a really sweet book. it wasn't horrible and the narration is good.

Enjoyable but predictable

I enjoyed listening to this book as a light read but found it a little frustrating when the same point was re-iterated several times when you knew full well that by the end of the book thing will have changed. it is a nice story though and something uplifting to listen to. I do enjoy the readers voice
