Summary

Never let them discover I’m an omega.

Never let them discover I’m their mate.

Bitten and bonded against my will, I’ve become a ransom for the celebrity alphas I scent matched. They're my last chance at freedom, and I have to make them fall for me before it’s too late.

Sent into their home disguised as a Sweetheart—a beta companion for aggressive alphas without an omega—I’m forced to keep my status secret until they fall for me, or until my heat arrives. But I grew up obsessed with the Crimson Fury Pack; they aren’t just smoking hot celebrity actors, they’re kind and generous. I know I can convince them to save me.

Only, once in their home, I learn all too fast that my mates are nothing like they appear in interviews and magazines…What will they do when they learn the truth about the beta Sweetheart in their home...?

This is a bully omegaverse, MFMMM why choose with dark themes. HEA guaranteed.

This duet takes place in the PoisonVerse but is a standalone story and can be enjoyed independently.

Angsty Omegaverse Romance

I’m so glad I gave this book a chance. I disliked the plot but after listening to “Havoc killed her alpha” I decided to give it a chance, boy! I’m so glad I did.

This book is angsty, it’s sad, it makes you want to scream with frustration at the injustices the heroine has to endure. She is so strong and yet so vulnerable.

After surviving as a disguised beta following a traumatic childhood, she is targeted by a monster alpha who bites her against her will and bonds her on what we know as a dark bond. He uses his alpha bark and bond power to torture the heroine, forcing her to do his will, including seduce her scent match pack. We later find out the reasons behind the alpha wanting this to happen and is just so… frustrating and sad and so unfair.

Our heroine disguises as a beta to get closer to the pack. The monster pack paid people off to get her a position on their household, on their pack as a companion. From day one she has to endure bullying, she believes they hate her and she is constantly rejected. This book is not an easy read.

There are moments when she makes progress, she is so desperate for them to fall in love with her, because she wants them to release her from the dark bond, in all her ingenuity, she believes they will save her, that they can overcome this nightmare and be… happy.

The journey is painful and the book ends on a cliffhanger.

I felt the book was dragging at times, but I also feel the story is so good because of all the details, so… maybe it’s just me.

I’m off to listen to book 2
