amazing audiobook
What I love about this book is that it provides a solid framework for building performance, independence, and confidence. The author really gets into the nitty-gritty of what teen athletes need to excel, all while stressing the importance of letting them take the reins. It’s perfect for parents who want to support their kids but don’t want to micromanage every step of the way.
The tips are practical and easy to implement, making it a breeze to apply what you learn. I found myself nodding along to so many points, especially when it comes to fostering independence while still being there for guidance. It's all about striking that balance!
Plus, the author shares real-life stories and insights that make the advice feel relatable and inspiring. You’ll finish the audiobook feeling equipped with useful tools to help your teen not just in sports but in life.

Enlightening and educational
This audiobook gave me things to think about that i would have over looked. It is a great message about not micromanaging your children. It is about a balance of encouraging the child, building confidence, and not placing too much pressure on them. Also, the audiobook/book talks about nutrition and breaking the cycle of perfectionism. This is a great book for teens and parents to use a resource to help them along the child’s path of becoming a great athlete.

For a parent raising the next star
My nephew’s got serious potential with sports, and I think this book could really help his parents support him without burning him out. It explains how trying to have control over everything such as food, routines, and game prep—can actually backfire. Instead, it shows how to guide teens so they build their own habits and confidence. The parts on game-day nutrition, team dynamics, and managing stress were super useful. Honestly, if you're parenting a teen athlete, this breaks it all down in a way that just makes sense.

At the end of this book you get to see how this healthy practice even applies to the teen's life as they move into adulthood. The narrator'v voice keep you engaged in the topic. Great read!
