About this listen

At a New England boarding school, a sex scandal is about to break. Even more shocking than the sexual acts themselves is the fact that they were caught on videotape. The tape triggers a chorus of voices - those of the men, women, teenagers, and parents involved in the scandal - that details the ways in which lives can be derailed or destroyed in one foolish moment.

I love almost all of Anita Shreve's novels. This one is complex and intriguing but the thorny subject-matter -basically a drunken gang bang ending tragically- comes to a somehat perplexing conclusion. This is probably one of her few novels I wont listen to again very soon. The reader however is really excellent.

Not Anita Shreve's best.
