Great is a great second book; centering is on Princess Gabrielle and Prince Alec, her new husband. The story is more fast-paced than the first book, which I prefer. The plot is well developed; however, I wish there were more action and suspenseful scenes. The characters are engaging, I enjoyed listing to Gabrielle and Alec figuring out their relationship, building trust, and finding a way to work together.
Carolyn Kashner has a youthful voice; her performance is fitting for this series. Overall, this was a good and clean fantasy romance; great for younger (YA) listeners.
