About this listen

Fall under the spell of Diana and Matthew once more in the stunning climax to the All Souls trilogy, following A Discovery of Witches and Shadow of Night.

A world of witches, daemons and vampires. A manuscript that holds the secrets of their past and the key to their future. Diana and Matthew - the forbidden love at the heart of it.

After traveling through time in Shadow of Night, the second book in Deborah Harkness's enchanting series, historian and witch Diana Bishop and vampire scientist Matthew Clairmont return to the present to face new crises and old enemies. At Matthew's ancestral home in France they reunite with their families - with one heart-breaking exception. But the real threat to their future is yet to be revealed, and when it is, the search for the elusive manuscript Ashmole 782 and its missing pages takes on a terrifying urgency. Using ancient knowledge and modern science, from the palaces of Venice and beyond, Diana and Matthew will finally learn what the witches discovered so many centuries ago.

Brilliant 3rd book

Loved this. Narration was good and conveyed the atmosphere suitably. Finishes the series well but leaves the reader wanting it to continue.

Unbelievably Magical

Both book and narrator has gifted me time of magic made real. It was the deepest pleasure to listen to all three books and I shed a tear for its ending. Thank you.

Loved it!

Loved this story so much! Such a slow burn but so worth it for the magic and romance and plot twists! Diana's character growth is so good and I love how she has so many people supporting her in her journey! The accents aren't the best but Jennifer Ikeda's pace and voice are so calming and really immerse you in the story regardless. Overall a great finale to a fab storyline!

Fantastic re-readable trilogy

I have binge read these three engaging books, they are beautifully crafted, clever, touching and imaginative.
The three books together tackle a tale of vampires, witches, daemons and historians whilst also incorporating star-crossed lovers, prejudice, conflict and time travel. I would heartily recommend them to all who enjoy well wrought characters, strong plotting and a rollicking story.
I will definitely be reading them again, and hope Deborah Harkness writes more books with these characters.

amazing

I loved it, a story so well written and read also made me smile when mentioning my home town Lublin. I would personally just cut out the music at begining and end as it's just plain distracting and annoying 🤣
