A harrowing tale of the horrors of the Holocaust
A beautifully told true story of Gustav and Fritz Kleinman and their survival of the Holocaust. Unbelievable to imagine these atrocities took place in the 20th century but so .important that we and further generations never forget the thousands of lives lost.

Beautifully read.
Yet another account of the despicable behaviour and contrasting resilience and strength of survivors of the holocaust.

Unbelievable Story
Narrator was perfect. None of us will be able to comprehend what these 2 men went through but this story gives us a true insight of what mankind is capable of.

Moving
Amazing book I couldn’t stop listening to this book. My thoughts willing all this family on to be safe. The feeling of being helpless to do anything about their plight is overwhelming. I visited the camps while I was visiting Poland to pay my respects to these brave people. It started to snow as we arrived and only stopped when we got back on the coach.

Thought provoking true story
An excellent account of the horrors of WW11 and the concentration camps. The story was one of hope in amongst the incomprehensible monstrosities that went on during those years to innocent people. This was an honest and researched account of the time and read well by John Sackville.
